It's a hard choice. My favorite book is probably The Thin Red Line, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, or The Lord of the Rings. As far as movies: Thin Red Line, Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, Schindler's List, something like that. I love anything relating to history. I love HISTORY, I'm not a war-junkie.
